The translator is the most active factor in the process of translation. He/She has to show the subjective effects on the original understanding or recreating. Xu Jun mentioned in his paper that the so-called translator's subjective consciousness is the translator's conscious awareness of his own personality and creativity. The existence and strength of the translator's subjectivity influence the whole translation process and the value of the outcome of translation, namely, the target text,,in our opinion, the core of the subjectivity is the translator's aesthetic pursuit and creativity. This article is from the subjectivity of theoretical perspective. The object of the article is the two versions of The Color Purple. In this paper the author used the kernel about the translator's subjectivity in Deconstruction, Feminist Theory, Polysystem Translation Theory, and Skopos Theory to build the entire research project framework and structure. The first part of the first review of the subjectivity is the origin and development. Comparing the traditional translation theory and the translation theory after cultural turn,it highlighted the importance of the translator. And it provided the concept of subjectivity and related theory. The second part is is the introduction of the color purple and its two Chinese versions. The original author Alice·Walker is one of the most influential writer in the 20th century .Her novel The Color purple won American literary award, the highest honor of the Pulitzer Prize and national book award, and became a classic in American literature. The classic literary works is also popular in China. There are many versions of The Color purple. In this thesis, two of the most complete, accurate, representative versions were selected as the object of study. They are the female translator'version and the male translator's version. The fourth section discusses from multiple perspectives on the two Chinese versions of The Color purple. This section is the key part. There are a large number of translation instances and the comparative analysis is between the two versions and the original and then the author pointed out that the translator subjectivity effected the translation very much. The fourth part is a part of the theory's sublimation.。So, from the above discussion,we found that in Yang's version, he followed the traditional translation theories which made he the translator invisibility, while Tao followed contemporary translation theories in her version which insisted the subjectivity should be showed out and she had added much understanding and rewriting to her version which made the version much more dependable and vivid. Finally, it is a summary section. In this section, the thesis had a try for literary works The Color Purple to summarize subjectivity in the two versions. It tells the translation is not only verbatim, and the translator's subjectivity doesn't mean to be nature, but also to be creative and important.
