Indecisiveness refers to the inability to decide in a timely manner across situations and areas. The main study was divided into two parts: study one, compared FIS scale and GIS scale in college students to testify the scales. Study two, adopted GIS scale to select high score indecisive and decisive individuals, and developed information search task in three experiments to investigate the effects of task difficulty, time constrain and importance of decision on information search behaviour separately. The results were listed as follows:(1) Germeijs and De Boeck' Indecisiveness Scale is better than Frost and Shows' Indecisiveness Scale to adapt to Chinese subjects.(2) There is no gender difference in indecisiveness.(3) Task difficulty influences on indecisiveness's information search behaviour, which cause longer time, more checks and non-choice information consumption, worse decision-making quality than easy condition. They perceive more tense and uncertainty.(4) Most of indecisive people have inter-dimensional strategy, which is not affected by task difficulty.(5) When under time constrain condition, indecisive ones accelerate click frequency, while decisive ones slow down. Indecisiveness's inter-dimensional strategy is not affected by time constrain, while some decisive ones change to intra-dimensional transfers.(6) When under high importance of decision condition, the two group need more time. Difference between them is decreased. But importance of decision doesn't change indecisiveness' inter-dimensional strategy. The conclusions were:(1) Germeijs and De Boeck' Indecisiveness Scale is better than Frost and Shows' Indecisiveness Scale to adapt to Chinese subjects. And there is no gender difference in indecisiveness.(2) Task difficulty, time constrain, importance of decision affect information search behaviour of indecisiveness.(3) Indecisiveness has a systemic information search strategy instead of informational tunnel vision.(4) Most indecisive individuals holding inter-dimensional transfers strategy shows a steady trait, which is not affected by task difficulty, time constrain, and importance of decision.
