| Since Maoqinggou cemetery was excavated by Inner Mongolia Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology in 1979, the special remains of early nomads in Daihai Area, which is located in Liangcheng Town Wulanchabu City Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, have been concerned gradually by academia. With the recent publication of new archaeological materials, the research on remains of early nomads in Daihai Area during the Eastern Zhou period is provided with new materials. In this dissertation, we try to re-analyze all published materials on cemeteries of early nomads in Daihai Area during the Eastern Zhou period, establish a chronological archaeology framework of remains of early nomads, from the middle of Spring and Autumn period to the late of Warring States period. On this basis, through the analysis and comparison of cultural factors, we will divide the early nomads'remains into six groups, and discuss cultural factors and the ethnic composition of each group.This dissertation includes six chapters.Chapterâ… ExordiumThis chapter gives a brief explanation of "Daihai Area" and "Early Nomads during the Eastern Zhou Period" firstly, and then gives a brief review and summary of the geographical environment of Daihai Area and the situation of research on remains of early nomads in Daihai Area during the Eastern Zhou period.Chapterâ…¡General situation of early nomads'cemeteriesIn this chapter, cemeteries belong to early nomads during the Eastern Zhou period are introduced and concluded briefly from structure of tombs, sacrificed custom and grave goods, which contain Maoqinggou cemetery, Yinniugou cemetery, Guoxianyaozi cemetery, Xinzhouyaozi cemetery, Xiaoshuangucheng cemetery, Caohaogou cemetery and Shuiquan cemetery.Chapterâ…¢Typology study of grave goods of early nomadsIn this chapter, we make typology study of grave goods of early nomads in Daihai Area during the Eastern Zhou period, mainly involve pottery, bronze ware and ironware. Considering there has no breaking relation among all the cemeteries in this area, we only can classify pottery on the basis of the trend of moving upward constantly at the maximum diameter of abdominal pottery, not bronze ware and ironware according to unconspicuous trend. Chapterâ…£Stage study of early nomads' cemeteries in Daihai AreaAccording to the relationship of the combination of pottery and the relative position and variation trend of the maximum diameter of the abdomen, we divide these archaeological remains in the region into three stages and six sections. With the comparison of the same period archaeological culture, we identify the first stage as the middle of Spring,late of Spring and Autumn period, identify the second stage as the transition duration from the earle of Warring and Autumn period to the middle of Warring States period, identify the third stage as the late of Warring States period, then derive the combination of relations of grave goods of every stage.Chapterâ…¤The related discussionWith results of stage study, burial customs and the combination of relations of grave goods, we divide the early nomads' remains into six groups. According to the analysis and comparison of cultural factors of each group, we deem that Group A arrived firstly at Daihai Area, Group A and Group Bconstituted Group C, then Group C and Group D constituted Group E Further, we infer the origin of Group A is derived from Hunhe River Basin and Tumote Plain.Through analyzing the ethnic composition of every group, we divide the process of confusion and compromise into four stages, and deem that Daihai Area was not the first station where the crowd belonged to ancient Mongolian Plateau Type who engaged in the nomadic economy migrated southward.Chapterâ…¥Conclusion... |
