In this study, the author employs the experimental research methods to explore how to design extracurricular individual learning tasks for the sake of conducting an effective mode of extracurricular assisting English teaching according to students'individual differences in learning styles. Basic process of the experimental study is to assign individual learning tasks to the experimental group in the orderly and recurring way with much regard of their learning styles, but assign individual tasks to the controlled group regardless of any learning styles . Then the researcher is to make comparison analysis of the changes of achievements, learning interests, autonomous learning abilities and learning styles of the two groups after the experiment based on the quantitative data , then collect the qualitative data from the feedback forms and interviews to verify the reliability of the quantitative results . The results of English achievements, learning interests, leaning modes, autonomous learning abilities and learning styles from the experimental group show significant differences between before and after the experiment, and take on the rising posture, while the above five aspects from the controlled group are much lower than the experimental group though they are promoted to some degree and there are no significant differences between the data before and after the experiment, especially their learning interests go down, which proves, to a certain extent, the mode of extracurricular assisting English teaching based on learning style is more effective than the one regardless of learning styles.
