The researches of stress have now to gradually achieve a trend,that is,stress is a interactive effect between stimulation and response. Stress contains a series of intermediary factors such as the cognition,coping styles,social support and so on. Based on such researches,the thesis mainly discuss the operational ptinciple of coping style and social support system in the process which is between stressor and stress reaction.To discuss the link between coping style,social support system and the university mental healthy.We hope it can provides some practical instruction to the university psychological early-warn crisis and crisis intervention. We choose local college students of a university as the research object。We used Adolescent self-Rating Life Events Check list, Coping Style Questionnaire,Social support scale, and Symptoms self rating scale (SCL-90) as research tools, and do the cases investigations to three university students.Specific research results are as follows:1. "Learning stress"and"relationship"are primary life events to college students. There are significant gender,grade and origin differences in life events.That is,regarding to "learning stress","the other dimensions"and"adaptation on health",the male students have normally more mean value than female ones.The students in Grade One get more mean value than other Grades on"human relations dimensions".The students from countryside own more mean value than from cities on"learning stress","castigation","loss"and sum value.2.College students'coping styles for stress include"problem solving","help seeking","retreat","fantasy","rationalization"and"self-blame",whose frequency is from high to low.There are significant gender and gradein coping styles.Relative to character, Females used to choose negative coping styles, males are more likely to adopt positive pressure coping styles.The students from city are more fantastic than the students from countryside. The students in Grade One and four used more positive coping styles than other ones.3.College students receive material and spiritual support mainly from parents, family members, friends and classmates. Different genders of college students have mean different dimensions of social support overall score and support exploitation degree. The higher scores mean female college students have higher social support, and using social support better. Freshman and grade four university students' social support levels are relatively higher, but no significant difference. Urban students' social support levels are higher than the countryside students, but have no significant difference.4. College students main psychological problems, in order to force, depression, interpersonal relationship, anxiety, terror, paranoid, etc.Besides hostile, paranoid, psychoticism factors,female score higher in other factors.But only anxiety and terror factors have significant difference.The college students from countryside score higher in SCL-90 factors than the students from city, have significant difference.5. The three dimensions of college students'social support,including subjective support, objective support and availability of support have degree respectively with SCL-90 total cent and negatively correlated factors points.Positive coping style have nagetive relationship with SCL-90 total score, force, sensitive interpersonal relationship, depression, anxiety, paranoid, psychoticism. Negative coping style have positive relationship with SCL-90 total score and other factors.6. By stepwise regression analysing to the effact of college students'coping styles and social support to mental health, we found the independent variables of seeking help and blaming, fantasy and objective support, subjective support can calculate into Regression equation.
