Confucian benevolence and Righteousness thought is an important component Of the doctrine of Confucianism system, and has a core status, it gradually reveals its originality in the process of its inheriting and developing. Dong Zhongshu was good at"the Spring and Autumn Annals". He fully exploit its "of honor" and has been variously worthy. From the decline and demise of the historical experiences and lessons Zhou dynasty and Qin dynasty, combined with the social and historical reality of Han ,Dong ZhongShu summarized only implement Confucian thoughts could really realize righteousness counterwork, so he systematically summarizes the righteousness thought material since the pre-qin, an inheritance and development of Confucius thinking on the righteousness of benevolence, righteousness on the content of a clear definition, think the law of righteousness is to follow the sameness the fundamental moral principles and supreme law, the development of theory of righteousness and made a great contribution.This thesis respectively discuss Dong's benevolence and righteousness view from the three aspects systematically . The first Part, making a simple certificates of Dong's life and writings. The second part, discussing the origin of Dong's benevolence and righteousness ideas. The benevolence and righteousness thought of pre-Qin Confucian scholars, is the fountain to Dong's righteousness view. Dong Zhongshu inherit and develop the pre-Qin Confucian thoughts of righteousness, and formed his unique righteousness view. The third part, discuss the theoretical foundation of Dong's concept of righteousness, namely his Dao of heaven and humanity. Firstly, the theory of the five elements in Dong, Yin and Yang to illustrate "heaven" naturalness, thinking "benevolence" and "righteousness" is heaven's will, which is the heaven with the highest ethical standards ,and so heaven has the double meanings----naturalness and supernatural. Secondly, Dong think humanity is natural, containing natural "good quality" and "evil quality", and therefore people can be achieved charitable through the enlightened human nature .The fourth part, discusses the basic connotation of Dong's righteousness views , and the inheritance and development of pre-Qin Confucian benevolence and righteousness thoughts. the basic meaning of Dong's "benevolence" is "love", "to charity people", "righteousness" is "to restrain oneself", and make a clear distinction of the specific content between benevolence and righteousness. Dong Zhongshu inherit and develop of pre-Qin Confucianism benevolence and righteousness thought, it mainly embodies in four aspects. Part five, analyze the practical value of Dong's benevolence and righteousness views. Dong Zhongshu develops "benevolence" roading along political practice, from the"kingly way theory "people-oriented thoughts", expounds his "benevolent governance" theory; Meanwhile, enriched and developed the "righteous" from the view of Confucianism ,and elucidate the value of righteousness in the concrete practice from the relation between righteousness an interest. This article will discuss the value of righteousness in specific practical application ,from Dong's "benevolent governance" and "merit" two aspacts, divided into three issues. One is his kingly way thought. Dong Zhongshu think the heaven has a " benevolence and righteousness" spiritual, and benevolents according to nature's order arranged by heaven. And the most important content of is benevolent, and symbolize the civilization is the important content of indoctrination, but also for the benevolent springs of the routine method days must be the most fundamental one.Meanwhiles, to appoint people by abilities, this is ruling monarch itself directly related to the survival and feudal state safety problems, whether introductions, which shall be wise men, success and failure of national rise and fall event. The second is the people-oriented thoughts. Dong zhongshu takes Confucianism popular doctrine and righteousness of Yin yang-five elements said combined skillfully, with "days" the authority of the emperor to restrain, highly-touted successes "absolute", and forced the award to preserve their authority in public desire-mind people. Thirdly, the Dong's merit. He thinks righteousness and interest is two aspects everyone indispensable has. However, Dong think that the righteous is more heavier, and urged both equality. At the same time, he also said that " Monarch shou love people", to the benefit for the people.Dong Zhongshu's benevolence and righteousness view, standing in a very height, firstly argues heaven " human nature to be taught and then can finish goodness ," and stressed to implement education with the spirit of heaven benevolence and righteousness, therefore, the dao of heaven and human nature is the basic theory of his righteousness view. And the spirit of righteousness, embodied in the social and political life, is represented the spirit "prince should follow benevolent spirit of heaven" and "heaven select king for the people" .Reflected in ethics, the extension in life for its thoughts of justice," host don't strive for the benefit, know its way regardless of its work". The righteousness view of Dong Zhongshu has significant meaning in the Confucianism history of China.
