Since communication is more frequent, educators pay more attention to learners'cross-cultural competence in language teaching. However, instead of teaching cultural knowledge, the enhancing of learners'cultural awareness, especially the relationships of cultural understanding and tolerance, which influence their cognition and behavior, are the hinges to improve the competence of cross-cultural communication. Meanwhile, teachers explore that learners'cognition and characteristics impact those relationships and even their cultural awareness. Consequently, in cultural teaching, teachers should consider on learners'angle, in order to develop their cultural awareness and promote their cross-cultural communication competence. |
