State Supreme Theory, Insist And Perplexed

This paper studied the "State Supreme Theory" in ZhangJiLuan's editorial from 1936 to 1941. The first part analysed the Ideological root and forming process of "State Supreme Theory". The second part based on the annalistic style, this part try to recover ZhangJiLuan's editorial to the historical background, make a point evaluation to the editorials and ZhangJiLuan. The great historical events mentioned in the paper include the Sian incident, "seven gentlemen" case, "7·7" incident, the Nanjing massacre, Linyi campaign, the Taierhchuang campaign, Wang ching-wei treason to defect, south Anhui incident, ZhongTiaoShan campaign etc. Each related editorial in this paper is copied in high range, some important editorials are full-text included, attempting to display a true contemporary historical environment, trying to see how previous wisdom inspire our present insights.
