The Analysis Of "the Double" Image In The Violent Games

Ethnic American literature,especially in aeras of Asia,Africa and Japan were elucidated by many scholars in the world,and fruitful results were achieved,which gives the step researchers a lot of experience and inspiration. In Chinese American literature, women writer Maxine Hong Kingston is undoubtedly the most famous one, and since she had published her maiden work "The Woman Warrior" in 1976,she has never been out of the vision of researchers around the world. Maxine Hong Kingston's works which across the Western culture, mainly depicts the immigrates'strive and struggle in a foreign land, in there perspectives.This paper attempts to take her first biographical novel "The Woman Warrior" as the main text to elucidate, to analyze the phenomenon that the ethnic minorities imposed violent projection to "the double" in the mainstream context from the psychological term "the double",to investigate into the fact that violence taken as a representative tool for projecting the reality of "the double ", and to reveal the ethnic minorities' lose of the cultural identity and the cultural psychology evolution in post-colonial context behind he hidden mad behaviors.In ChapterⅠ:First of all,I attempt to expurgate and define the concept of "the double", to study the relationship between the self and "the double",psychological mechanism of violence from the psychological point,and then to canvass the deep psychological reasons why the self would impose violence on " the double "In ChapterⅡ:From the Chinese American writer Maxine Hong Kingston's novel "the Woman Warrior"combined with analysis on the self and " the double " from psychological angle in the first chapter, and focuses on the reason why the fifth chapter"A song for a Barbarian Reed Pipe"that the self——"I" impose violent behavior on " the double"——"the silent girl ", in combination with the black woman writer Toni Morrison's " The Bluest Eyes",in which the father rapes her daughter, and then investigates the similarities and differences from the characteristic and deep sense of the two novels.In ChapterⅢ:Take the post-colonial discourse"gaze"as the startpoint, which is a significant concept, so as to analyze the essential reason why the ethnic minorities would assault "the double" violently.And the paper analyzes that,in the context of Western cultural hegemony, marginalized ethnic minorities disgust with their own race and judge themselves and other ethnic minorities by the standard of the white culture,which bring about the lose and change of their cultural identity and cultural psychology. Finally,it tries to discuss the personality reconstruction of the of distorted and morbid in the current context.
