On The Study Of The Blending Degree Of The "You-nounphrase" Structure

The"you-nounphrase"structure in modern Chinese is a composition in which the relationship between the two components is"you"(verb) and nounprhase (object).According to the Conceptual Blending Theory,we study and inquire into the inner relationship between the two components, it is predicate and object,but the outer entire function is not always verbal.It completely lies on its blending degree.There are a lot of discuss on the"you-nounphrase"structure among the modern Chinese Syntax study,but it is not so common to do a symstematic and thorough observe and study.In the past few years,most attention have been paid to the minority which has some special characeristic of the"you-nounphrase"structure.However, we deem that any minority does have its'big family'because the development of no matter things or syntax unit is a continuous progress.Therefore, the"you-nounphrase"structure develops its own level ,being quite new and different from each oher while still belonging to the'big family'.We use new theory and method to bring forward our opinion on the division and the level system of the"you-nounphrase"structure. Basing on the large corpus and the previous studies,we use the new theoretical methods to identify the"you-nounphrase"structure and put forward my own pointview on the distinguish standard. We make limited depiction on it and try to distinguish the level system with the congeneric syntax symbol.This paper is composed of six chapters:Chapter Zero is the preface which introduce research stauts of predecessors.And summarize the deficiency of their research,then put forward ideas of this research, methods and scope of the study.Chapter One is about conceptual integration theory and its study of the level of integration. This chapter firstly review the conceptual integration theory and its development, and make the introduction of its application in Chinese Grammar. Secondly, we deem that there are several levels of the blending degree of the"you-nounphrase"structure and we do a theoretical division of distribution of the level.Chapter Two is the study of the identity of blending degree of the"you-nounphrase"structure. We firstly discusse the prototype semantics of the verb"you"structure, effectively distinguish its two basic meaning.And then we do a careful investigation and analysis of its semantic features. Finally,we briefly draw the blending level of the"you-nounphrase"structure.Chapter Three is the study of the blending degree of the"you-nounphrase"structure and its level distribution(I). This chapter will make the semantic study of Level A(low) and Level B(sub-low),discussing the semantic features of"you"and"nounphrase",summarizing the different semantic connection and character. Then we found the evidence of syntax"insert the quantitative terms"to distinguish the Level A(low)and Level B(sub-low); It can effectively reveal the A-level (sub-high) and B (high) level in the syntactic form of the"you-nounphrase".Chapter Four is the study of the blending degree of the"you-nounphrase"structure and its level distribution(II).This chapter will make the semantic study of Level C(sub-high) and Level D(high),discussing the semantic features of"you"and"nounphrase",summarizing the different semantic connection and character.And we choose the uniform syntactic symbol-"can be modified by adverbs of degree"to identify B, C levels and "can insert the extension qualifier" to distinguish the Level C(sub-high)and Level D(high).It can effectively reveal the C-level (sub-high) and D (high) level in the syntactic form of the"you-nounphrase".Chapter five is the conclusion which makes summarization on this essay,and make some necessary instructions on some related issues.
