The Research On Space-time Concept In The Classic Of Mountains And Rivers

Many researches have been conducted on The Classic of Mountains and Rivers, the warring states novel, but most of them are confined to two aspects:the myth and the messenger. Therefore, to restore the original "space-time"features, this thesis tries to re-understand the "space-time"concept in the novel from the point of view of space-time. Besides, it will re-examine the literary significance of space-time concept in the novel.The structure of the thesis is listed as follow:The introduction introduces the basic state and current shortage about the researches of The Classic of Mountains and Rivers and provides the new recognition from the level of'"space-time" which can promote the research. Accordingly the basic original concept "orientation" is investigated primaryly.Based on expressing the content of the space, chapter one introduces this novel step by step and shows the structure of concepts in every part.Chapter one:different from any of the existing space concept, this chapter concludes three concepts:real-existing space, edge space, and distorted space, those three structures have the relatiohship but independent with each other. Moreover, the performance of the three space structure and their features are described in this chapter.Chapter two:based on the time factor, this chapter concludes the time concept in the novel by sorting out the time concept systematically, investigating the orientation of the time, summarizing the time corresponded with the time concept.Chapter three:under the influence of space and space-time concept in The Classic of Mountains and Rivers, we found "space-time"conter which exists in the novel. Besides, we analyzed it based on the fundamental understanding of space and time concept in the novel, thus. we concluded that the "space-time"center is the most basic "space-time"View point in the novel, and the literary significance is discussed in this chapter.Conclusion mainly discusses the research ideas and reseach directions and methods which need to be revised continually.
