After the Qing dynasty integrated Xinjiang, Manas district became an important economic and cultural center, as well as a military town of the Northern Tianshan. To study the conditions of development of Manas society from the Qing Dynasty to the Republican Era, it is necessary to start from a microscopic angle and carry out a long period comparison of Manas micro social phenomena. These micro phenomena include dynamic factors such as the natural environment, demographics, economic structures, cultural conditions, social institutions, and so on. This paper argues that the characteristics that best reflect the conditions of a typical region are the synchronic and regional developments of a region's socio-economics, social management, and culture.From a regional microhistory point of view, this articles tries to explain the phenomenom and reasons of social developments of Manas District from the Qing Dynasty to the Republican Era and to grasp the characteristics of the macrohistory view by using traditional historical methods of comparisons and analysis. With regard to the development of Manas district society from the Qing to the Republicans, this paper will use methods such as vertical comparison, horizontal analysis, in order to restore the dynamic processes of development of Manas district's socio-economics, social management, and culture. This will promote research on the development of the Northern Tianshan during this era. This article argues that, from the Qing Dynasty to the Republican Era, in the process of development, Manas society showed cross-cultural integration, modernization of social productions, while its social administration started using modern management methods.
