In the history of Modern and contemporary Literature, Wu Mingshi and his works were the special existence. His creative experiences show the variance of cradle rock and also the life consciousness always runs through the theme of his works. It is analyzed from literary form to express his writing for the gouges of life and hunting for the freedom of life. Moreover, he is trying to escape from difficulty of reality in order to find a faith and destination for human beings, which the sense to research his works.There are four parts in the essay. The introduction of Wu Mingshi will be descript in the first module, including his free personality and sad love experience. Furthermore, it is analyzed that the form of life consciousness and emotional experience affect his creative ideas. In second module, his love stories and late short fictions will be analyzed, from two aspects. For one thing, Wu Mingshi expressed the life consciousness through shaping Goddess imagination, showing the appreciation of beauty life. For another, it is expressed to the loss and regretting of the life constrained by the reality. In third chapter, analyzing the chief character to deeply think and seek is based on the book of WuMingShu. The conception of"freedom"in philosophy is expressed, focusing on the extent of the life value he encountered in the process of seeking, which are seeking and overstepping for revolution, love, sin, religion, nature and so on. In the last chapter, Wu Mingshi imagines to achieve the absolute freedom after solve the final problem of human beings, which is a Utopia being full of freedom.love and beauty. He was trying to escape from the difficulty of reality but fail finally.I will focus on the theme research of Wu Mingshi, trying to cling to his spirit world so as to reveal the status of Wu Mingshi in the history of China modern Literary.
