The Way Of Expressing Amount In 《Shuihu Quanzhuan》

This thesis is about the numerals and classifiers in ((Shuihu Quanzhuan)) - It is divided into three parts: how does ((Shuihu Quanzhuan)) express the amount with a focus on approximate number and unreliable number. How are those classifiers which are often used in modem Chinese and which are disappeared in modem Chinese used in ((Shuihu Quanzhuan)) . How does ((Shuihu Quanzhuan )) organize its numeral-classifier structure. Our conclusion is: though the way of expression about numerals and classifiers in ((Shuihu Quanzhuan)) is similar to modem Chinese, there are still a lot of differences which are small but important. Most classifiers in ((Shuihu Quanzhuan)) are also used in modem Chinese. But about half of them are different. And some classifiers in ((Shuihu Quanzhuan)) can not be found in modem Chinese. Numeral-classifier structure in ((Shuihu Quanzhuan)~ has its own feature too. First, the numeral 搤搃s often omitted. Second, there is a kind of order, viz. 揳djective+numeral+classifier+noun?when an adjective modifies a noun along with a numeral-classifier structure.
