A Different Description Of History ——Brief Exposition Of The Female Writing In 1990's

AbstractIn the 1990's, with the increasingly awakening of the female awareness of Chinese woman writers, they started to describe the world, life and histoiy in clear gender capacity. Besides the thinking and analysis of woman's difficult position of living which existed in history or reality, they depicted such perceptual contents as the female experiences of life and the lust of fresh. Moreover, they revealed to the society the real world that women live, which made people understand another history. It seems that different description of history?became common mission of Chinese women writers of 1990's, namely the abandonment of blind agreement on the social ideal and the common theme of that times, and the persuit of the real personal sexual experiences as well. It was under the soundless call of the mission that the writing of Chinese women in 1990's presented a splendid sight:the works written by Wang anyi.. Tie ning as well as other writers, who made a name for themselves in 1980's or earlier, seem staid and profound, but the style of a large number of writers represented by Lin bai and Chen ran etc. Is characterized by aloofness~ arrogance and elegance. In addition, there were such newly emerging writers as Wei intl and Mian mian etc, whose works are forthright and radical.This article tries to illustrate the following features of Chinese female writing with the above mentioned esposition:no more great narration; overturning the centre of male culture; widening the range of narration; building female space of life. These are not only thedirection of criticism theory of the European and American female doctrine,but also the token of creative practice of most China's female literature in 1990's.
