Reading plays an important role in English teaching and learning. This thesis aims to find the similarity of reading comprehension of CET-4, CET-6 and NETEM and in which aspects they are different.Reading comprehension involves a complex interplay of reader, text and situational context; hence the factors that affect reading comprehension are categorized as reader-based variables, text-based variables and situation-based variables. This thesis puts focus on discussing those textual elements, such as vocabulary knowledge, syntactic complexity, readability, etc. The study reveals that there are some similarities and differences in reading comprehension between CET-4, CET-6 and NETEM.
