The most characteristic aspect of Lawrence's psychologicalnovels is the revealing the How of menial aclivilics through psychoanalysis. !Sis novels lead the render into the depth of character's inner souls. This thesis probes three aspects of Lawrence's writing crafts in psychological analysis (Materials are mainly from the novel Sow and Lovers and The Rainbow ): narrated monologue, omniscient analysis and symbolism, thus probing the unique beauty of art of Lawrence's psychological analysis. The narrated monologue presents characters' logical and ordered thought. Because it uses third-person point of view, readers always sense the author, but the narration focuses on the characters" inner thought, not the author's opinions. The narrated monologue is often expressed by means of free indirect speech. In this way, the ease and smooth writing would not be interrupted by such reportingverbs as "she thought" or "he pondered". The narrated monologuesheriff the distance between readers and characters. Readers canclearly and vividly sense the stream of characters' consciousness. The omniscient anal is is a kind ofpsycbo-analysis inomniscient narration. The omniscient narration is a way of traditional narration. D.II. Lawrence uses this traditional narration creatively by analyzing or interpreting characters hidden thoughts, and feelings as an omniscient narrator, which makes readers see clearly what's the true relationship between characters. And why the characters behave in this way or think in that way.Symbolism is one of the crafts Lawrence uses to present the inward life of characters. Me employs symbolic episodes-Symbolicimages and symbolic myths to reveal vividly characters hidden innerthought which is not easy to present only by simple narration.Symbolism makes the work be more artistically powerful to attractreaders.
