As a well-known contemporary philosopher in Germany after Husserl and Heidegger,Gadamer's Truth and Method has far-reaching influence for contemporary Human sciences.The philosophical hermeneutics which was initiated by Heidegger and Gadamer not only is the most influential philosophy after phenomenology and exitentialism,but also has profound influence on all Human sciences,hermeneutics of literature,hermeneutics of history,hermeneutics of law,hermeneutics of art and hermeneutics of society come into being based on the theory of Philosophical hermeneutics.Philosophical hermeneutics of Gadamer mainly embody in Truth and Method.As a result of the domination powers of modern natural sciences,the method of natural sciences leads Human sciences into a wrong way that Human sciences seemingly only lie under the shadow of natural sciences. Therefore,Truth and Method start with that resist against the universal demand of natural sciences method within the modern science scope. Starting From the criticism of aesthetic consciousness.Gadamwer defends for the experience about truth which we obtain by work of art. Gadamer pointed out that the truth we obtain by work of art is different from the truth of natural sciences.lt is also a form of expression about truth,and even more a original truth that relates to significance of Being. Understanding of the truth is not at all a problem of methodology,but that of Being itself. Understanding is always the understanding with prejudice,which is conditioned by the historicity of Being,Understanding is the fusion of horizions,it belongs to "effective history".Understanding is always linguistic issue,land anguage is the medium of understanding.Being that can be understood is language,the world is showed by language,and then be known by us. The understanding of text seems a dialogue. Yet the real understanding is dialogue. Talking with text,the horizon of interpreter comes into a fusion with that of the text,and finally reaches an 1 agreement,which is not the final stage of understanding. Understanding is always open,we don't really reach the truth,only go nearer and nearer to the end.
