On Shen Congwen's Literary Criticism

This article comprehensively expounds the main content,style,and historical position of Shen Congwen's literary criticism,including the interaction between his literary creation and criticism.In part one,the main content of Shen Congwen's literary criticism are divided into two parts:"surface layer"and"deep layer";In part two,according to his graceful and precise language,and his insistent on pure literature and writer's creative attitude, the style of Shen Congwen's literary criticism can be summarized as "purity","stubbornness"and "esprit";In part three, on the relationship between literary criticism and creation,this article points out that Shen Congwen's literary criticism as "creative room"criricism,relates to his literary creation in innumerable ways.The theory of his criticism are generalized from his creative experience,and also exerts influence on his literary creation to some extent.In the meantime,the "country folk"feeling bred from his creative process throw its influence on his criticical action more or less.At last,this article gives a proper place of Shen Congwen's criticism in the history of modern literary criticism from two aspects.
