As a popular concern in the contemporary literature field , Zhang Wei's moral philosophy has been appraised or blamed in the criticism circle . But the writer's life consciousness has been seldom elaborated . By the way of reading the texts exquisitely and analysis and comparison method , this thesis intends to read and review the representative novels of Zhang Wei . What's more , the carnival theory will also be applied to this thesis which tries to seek the more internal interpretation on his works through the deeper meaning of the texts .This thesis consists of four parts .Part one : Introduction .The thoughts which all lives are equal in the earth are certified by setting out the examples of Zhang Wei's works . At the same time , some representative viewpoint of life philosophy from the western literature history and some statements on "life" from Zhuang Zi . So Zhang Wei's life philosophy concept is concluded which has unique ontology and is influenced by philosophy from not only West but also Chinese .Part two :The myth of freedom .Sui Bu-zhao has a dreem of travelling on the sea in a boat with sails for ever . Lao jin-tou takes the sea for company from brith to death . This two old men have tender feelings for the sea and are crazy about the sea-boat that similar . From this feeling we can conclude that the writer has a kind of intention struggling to get free with the land and heading for the sea . It reflects a pursuit which is primitive life condition being free and unfettered in his subconsciousness . Chun-yu Yang-li is a lover of art . Art activates his life . The enthusiasm and glory of life excites the insensitivity and depravity in his heart . "Lu Yu " is a lover of revolution . He releases his cordinal emotions freely and experiences his life to his heart's content . Both of them comply with the urge of life instinct , restoring theprimitive state of life and making humanity simple and kind .The vineyand is the temparary habitat when "I" am in a state of utter exhaustion symbolling the spiritual homeland in some extent . It indicates that the writer carves for sacred principles : conscience , justice , courage , dignity , purity , love , sincere etc. and appeals glorious kindhearted humanity ."Big red horse" appears in the protagonists' dreams or illusionary hopes generation after generation . After all of the rejoices and sufferings calm down , it symbolizes that new life begins to leap and bound once more . It is a spirit that removes both glom and evil to fly to the liberal distant place . It passes through the history dirt and sounds life's neigh in the depth of its soul .Part three : The carnival of life .September is the season of creals harvest and "carnival ". "Carnival "derives from the stimulation of happy harvest . In some way , it is the condition that individual and colony discharge their natural life and broaden , set off or realize their natural life and flesh body . The carnival world feeling has strong flourishing transforming force and irresistible life force . Evening is the time that be realized and belonging to oneself . It is true and poetic time . And it is also carnival time .Evening deconstruction the daytime and overturns or exceeds daily life forms . People laugh and play , wander about , run as freely as the wind and beat the enthusiasim and intense .At that time , the world is opening wide ."Wilderness" is the confrontation of city civilization no longer .It is the unconcealment of people's primitive condition .And also it is an extent reached constantly through life experience of one's own for a person .
