Computer music education is a fresh subject in Chinese higher education at present. As the reason like its short history, low-level and poor theoretical base, there is a great distance from the advanced countries in popularization, curricula arrangement and system, and teacher training. The current circumstance is far from the social requirements. Furthermore, there is no accurate data to offer a general description of this field until now. The lack of research on the relative courses causes the blindness and arbitrariness the actual teaching, management and research.Under such condition, the dissertation collects and analyzes the data about the curricula arrangement from the relative universities and colleges in China and the U.S., which covers 569 courses and 337 teachers in 295 universities and colleges. The article includes six chapters. First, computer music and the development of computer music education are briefly introduced. Then, according to the received data, article analyzes rationally the reason of the gap in the development between two countries. Next, it concludes the five necessary parts and the system structure in whole computer music curricula. At the same time, the beat teachers arrangement depends on the specialty demands and the sameness and differences of the course content, which is base on case-to-case comparison in item.Finally, the writer argues, that, to solve the present problem of Chinese computer music education, depends on the following: 1) to increase the education investment, to enlarge the group of educatee by the different educational model, to produce self-developing mechanism and to expend the educational area according to the facts and the social developing demands. 2) to reform the course structure and to contribute its content base on applicably, scientifically and practically. 3) to train the specialized and complex teachers intentionally.
