This thesis mainly and systematically discusses the disintegration of the subordinate relations between China and Korea in the modern times. Since the modern times, Following the impact of the modern—treaty system on the traditional subordinate—system. China fell into a semi—colonical and semi—feudal society, Which made China lose his super—dominated status in East Asia. And the braditional base of the subordinate relations between China and Korea was stricken severely. Afer having been invaded by the big powers, Japan exerted himself and made a renowned reform as Mingzhi emperor's New Reform, Then Japan's capitalism spread swiftly and became the most progressive country in East Asia. At the same time Japan also accepted the content of the modern—treaty system, and learned the all colonial invasion, colonial dlevastation and colonial methods from the European and American big powers in the modern times, and at last Japan broke off the subordinate relations between China and Korea, which made a start for his swallowing Korea and invading China, under the invasion by the big powers, some intellectuals in Korea energetically sought the way to enrich the nation and strengthen the army, however, they failed in the end because of the invasion by the big powers and Japan, and the binding of the subordinate relations between China and Korea.The whole thesis is divided into five parts:Chapter Ⅰ mainly discusses the basis framework, contents and characteristics of the subordinate relations between China and Korea under the traditional system .Chapter Ⅱ mainly discusses the impact of the modern—treaty system on the traditional subordinate relations between China and Korea. For its nature of expansion invasion, the modern—treaty system triggered a tremendous impact on the traditional subordinate system, which shaked the existing base of the traditional subordinate relations between China and Korea.Chapter Ⅲ mainly discusses Japan's invasion strategy and his adaptation to thesubordinate relations between China and Korea in the 70—80 years of the 19th century. At the initial stage of the modern times, Japan just like the both countries of China and Korea, became the invading object of the capitalism, however, after Mingzhi Eperor's New Reform, Japan traced to the invasion and expansion road step by step. Starting from the "Theory of Conquering Korea" and evoluting into the "Land Policy" at last, and then making it as a basic national policy, and in order to realize his invasion object, Japan cut the traditional link between China and Korea, which was his initial task to turn the "Land Policy" into reality .confronting with the international situation at that time and the traditional link between China and Korea, Japan had to adjust and adapt to the subordinate relations between China and Korea .Chapter Ⅳ mainly discusses Japan's strategy to Korea and Qing government's enforceful control over Korea after Korea's renown mutiny, Japanese government recognized that the prerequisite of Japanese ruling power over Korea must be to make a war against Qing government. So Japanese government adjust his policy to Korea at that time, and actively prepared a war in order to seek an opportunity and make a win. During the 80—90 years of the 19th century, following the big power's violent scramble for Korea and the sign of "Tianjin Treaty" between China and Japan, Qing government enforced to control Korea step by step at that time for the purpose of defending his super—status in Korean peninsula and the need of his own safety.Chapter Ⅴ mainly discusses the breaking—out of the Jiawu war between Japan and China and the disintegration of the subordinate relations between China and Korea. During the ten years from Korea's Jiashen coup to Jiawu war between China and Japan, Japan bent his mind on the domestic development, actively enlarged the army, focused on the war, and actively and soundly prepared for invading Korea and opening hostilities.
