The Establishment And Confirmation Of The Structure Of College Student's English Listening Ability

The training of English listening ability is an important content toimprove the English level of college student, this thesis used somemethods such as literature study , deep interview , questionnaireinvestigation. Exploratory Factor Analysis , Confirmatory FactorAnalysis. The main findings are:1.The listening ability structure is composed of three factors.They are : aural ability (include aural analysis ability and chooseattention ability) , short-term memory ability (include memoryattention ability and memory store ability) , comprehensionability(include language group comprehension ability andlanguage background deduction ability)2. It was proved that the structure of English listening ability ofcollege student fit the data by Exploratory Factory Analysis andConfirmatory Factory Analysis.3.Freshman and senior have difference on language groupcomprehend ability and language background deduction abilityand the sum as well.4.Female and male student have difference on language groupcomprehend ability and language background deduction abilityand the sum as well.5.Differente branch of learning have difference on languagegroup comprehend ability and the sum as well.
