Virginia Woolf, one of the most important novelists of "the stream of consciousness school" in the 20th century both in England and the world, is famous for her unique consciousness of innovation, which is reflected in every aspect of her life and works. The following paper makes an overview of her stream of consciousness works and form them find out a type of cyclical psychical time structure. On the basis of displaying the constantly changing world where Virginia Woolf lived in, this paper set off analysis on this type of cyclical psychic time structure. It firstly put forward that her growing experience in the last several year of the Victorian period is part of her life, that is greatly, and the influence in deep in her blood. On the other hand, because she was deprived of the right to school education. Virginia Woolf felt rejected and thus was able to treat tradition from a peculiar visual sight and get an intense consciousness of innovation, this naturally go close to the western thoughts of that time. Under the great influence of Pogson's durable theory. Virginia Woolf formed a unique sense of time .She opposed the traditional sense of time as many modernist writers, and she classified time into the clock time and the psychic time. The unique property that differs Virginia Woolf form the other modernist writers lies in her special way of catching the specific quality of the psychic time, hi her works, she fully reproduced every important second of ultimate meaning. In her stream of consciousness novels, Virginia Woolf developed gradually an unique cyclical psychic time structure and artistically conveys her time view ?This paper gives a detailed analysis on the cyclical psychical time structure. The structure is not stastistic. but dynastic. Virginia Woolf made her first attempt in this structure in her short novel "The Mark on the Wall". The novel discovered the rolling sense of the main character in a very short period of physical time and the state of a modern man' s intense self-query in the first quarter of the 20th century. In"Jacob's Room", the cyclical psychical time structure shaped in the frame of the physical time structure, while the flow of the consciousness and innermost feelings of the characters wove the inner logical relationship of the work. In "Mrs Dalloway" two types of time was perfectly put side by side, Virginia Woolf s personal style was polished in "To the lighthouse", and finally matured in "The waves" by displaying modern man's spiritual struggle procedure from self-query, self-verification to self-justification and self-transcend.Virginia Woolf consistently holds that forming process of the psychic time structure as from just the manifestation of psychic structure as content. By describing the spiritual struggle of those terrified and worried people in the turbulent world, she reveals not only the weak isolated life-form that exists by itself individually, but also the melt and extension of the individual life-form and all creation in the world. In her works, externality becomes possible.
