Analytic Study On Piano Concertos Mountain Forest (Shan Lin) And Essence Of Spring (Chun Zhi Cai)

Piano Concerto is foreign musical form which was widely known by Chinese musicians in last 100 years. The introduction of symphonic ideologies blazes a way in integration of Chinese and western musical cultures. Since 1980s, the writing of Piano Concertos became blossoming in China. Two piano concertos Mountain Forest (Shan Lin) which was done by Liu Dun-nan and Essence of Spring (Chun Zhi Cai) which was done byDu Ming-xin are excellent examples for their precise musical logic, daintily overall, structure and fresh musical mood. Both works assimilate rich nutrients from folk music;inherit experiences from Chinese new music composers, and show harmony and renovation in expressional form.But these two works are seldom performed and taught practically. It is a noticeable problem that how to fully present the composers' art achievements. Therefore, this study generally analyses the two piano concerto works in order to expand the play-list for piano players as well as to provide theoretic reference for performance and teaching.This paper uses philological method and enumerative method, and include following chapters:1.
