Research On The Diverse Appearances Of Yuefei's Literature Image And Its Culture Connotation

Content: This thesis analyzes Yuefei's literature images in different texts covering historical records, elegant literature and popular literature of the four dynasties of Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing. It explores the social background and formation reasons behind it and reveals the whole developing process and its characteristics of the changing of Yuefei's image. Yuefei was introduced into literature from history and has become a literature character from a historical character. His image has experienced a continuous evolution and formation process. Interaction of the history and the literature make Yuefei's image embody the nature of multi-level and pluralism. After the history faded away, Yuefei has finally become the representative _of loyalty spirit in Chinese nation for having been remodeled by the literature. Hence the most obvious feature of Yuefei's image is loyalty. It experienced the developing process from writing realistically to making up and imagining, which reflected the feature of half recording, half creating. This is the result of the conflict and mixing between the elegant culture and popular culture. Elegant culture's priority caused Yuefei to be the ideal option as the symbol of self-loyalty. Meanwhile, we can understand the tragic spirit of Chinese national culture.
