The Comparison Between Hasibao's And Zhiyanzhai's Remarks On Dream Of The Red Chamber

The article compares the remark of Mongolian Hasibao on dream of the red chamber with the one of Zhiyanzhai from three respects: the theme, identity of fiction and the comment on figures.There are both some resemblance and some difference between the two remarks, and the difference originates the experience of individual life and the various nation' s aesthetic mentality.In understanding the theme, they both comprehended the spirit of criticism about realities and feudal system. But their understanding about the real spirit substance of dream of the red chamber wasn't thorough. As the intellectuals in feudal society, their knowledge about dark and corrupting feudal system didn't attain to the level of the author.Because Hasibao was deeply influenced by the Han culture, his knowledge about the identity of fiction derived from the perspectives of other literary criticism masters such as Jinshengtan. Thus their perspectives resembled relatively in reality of fiction and construction of fiction.The most difference between the two comments consisted in the evaluation about characters. As to Jiabaoyu and Lindaiyu, they both favoured, praised and sympathized. But the evaluation about Xuebaochai and Huaxiren was very different. Zhiyanzhai thought highly of both them, having been influenced by the Confucianism. But Hasibao cast severe criticism and denounce against them from the viewpoint of Mongolian tradition.Hasibao was a Mongolian intellectual, who mastered the culture of Han nation. He remarked various characters from the viewpoint of Mongolian culture. It was because of integration and contrast between nations that he developed unique perspective in observing things. So his comment on dream of the red chamber is special.
