The Catholicism of Taiwan is a religious group with international background in Taiwan, which has certain influence on society of Taiwan. The Catholicism of Taiwan has experienced a developing track from prosperity to decline since Kuomintang ran away to Taiwan 50 years ago. And its relationships with the Taiwan authorities and Vatican have been varying from time to time.This thesis analyzes and examines the developing track of the Catholicism of Taiwan from its expansion to stagnation and dissects its relationships with the Taiwan authorities and Vatican, introducing its organizations in details and analyzing the influence of its social service business on society of Taiwan at the same time with multi-discipline and inter-discipline methods, including subjects like religion , politics, and sociology.
