Liu Xizai was a famous scholar and the theory of literatural critic and art critic in the era of late QingChao. He was also a master of Chinese classical esthetics. Noble quality and erudite knowledge, and his thought were deeply influenced by the Confucian, the Taoism and the Buddhist. Then his thought assembled the marrow of other's thought, but he absorbed and created it to make a unique style. In recent years, we have made great achievements and breakthrough to the research of Liu Xizai. But there is no reason to deny that our study is narrow-visioned and the content that is superficial and general. If studying on a wide scope about his literature and calligraphy. The similar law mainly displays in the following six aspects:First: in "writing the will" aspect, which borrows the works to express and show the writer's thought, interest, morality, ethics, morals and tolerance, etc. Liu Xizai believed that the literature and the calligraphy were durable and the reflection of essential concept of valve of the traditional literature and art's spirits. All literature and calligraphy works have a close relation with the athuor's personality, tolerance, morality, pursuit and so on. During the course of enjoying and criticizing literature and calligraphy, we can critic one's composition and works, and the quality of one's literature according to one's characters. So the ethic morality was widely used in the commentary on literature and calligraphy. The instructive ethic morality also is the standard of choosing taste. Since "Shang Shu" claimed that the concept of "Using poets to express aspiration", "Writing ambition" has the writers' goal to improve their characters. Generally speaking, the style shows the writing is like the author, books are similar to the authors. One's Talent, knowledge, interest, tolerance and mind and so on which can be expressed in his/her works. So it is absolutely true that writers and calligraphers must consciously do their best to enhance their accomplishment on ethic morality. Second: "on expressing feeling": Liu xizai believed that all the literature and calligraphy works were the conducts of writer' feeling .The poets "start with feeling and end with etiquette", which nature is to express author's emotion. The calligraphy is not only about skills but also the morals on writing. It's nature is to present writers' emotion, character ,interest ,emotion and so on .So calligrapher is a art of emotion's expressing and the presentation of calligraphy's personality ,nature and thought .The writers' happiness, sadness, sorrows and angry what are all hided in their words and between the lines. It can move you, lead you into wonderland, influence one's temperature and make you enjoy the beauty. The change from the flirtation expressed by "SHU PU" to the book preface to "Song Gao Xian Shang Ren Xu", has completed the conversion from literatural feeling expression by words to calligraphic feeling expression by characters. Both masters of literature, calligraphers and their works can not separate from temperament. They show their temperament in the works. We can say, regardless of the literature or calligraphy. Then from this point ,literature and calligraphy have extreme similarity in feeling expression and esthetic enjoyment. Third:In sensible aspect: as Liu Xizai thought, literature and calligraphy embody the aspect of philosophy and aesthetics, which paid great attention to the nature and the manpower, the weak and the strong, the promising and the inaction, contention and establish of new ideas. Seek craft and none of craft, exist mine and none of mine and so on, which show the relationship of contradictory of unity of opposites, these show the full dialectical idea of aesthetic judgment. He put forward "the book should from the nature." He suggest that the idea of it should get past the way of promising to the realm of inaction; it propose either reference predecessors or dare to bring forth new ideas and spirit; it confirms...
