| Shui Hu drama is one of the most important branches in our drama culture, and deeply research of it benefits to comprehend our drama culture. Besides, in its development from Yuan dynasty to Ming dynasty, the motif has changed greatly. Probing into the motif of Shui Hu drama helps us to apprehend the evolutive trend of the thought of producing literature under the times influence. The thesis firstly embarked on the recordation of Song Jiang in history, and lucubrated Song Jiang all his life carefully, through it to analyze the difference of paying attention to historic affairs between the Shui Hu drama 's authors of two different dynasties. Secondly, the thesis tried to search all sorts of Shui Hu drama existed in order to have a general and intuitionistic comprehension to it and to find which role is the favorite of the authors, then selected Li Kui, Lin Chong and Song Jiang to review their different character in Shui Hu drama in Ming and Yuan dynasty to reveal the change of motif in Shui Hu drama. Finally, the thesis deeply analyzed that why the motif of shui hu drama was changed from the times background and authors themselves.
