| In L2 testing , holistic scoring and analytic scoring are the two main app roaches to the oral test. This study examines the validity of the two main appi roaches. The study caculated the correlation cofficents between two app roaches and two kinds of criterion. We find the validity of the two app roaches are fairly good ,but the difference between two correlations is not significant.
