YiGai to some degree likes its author who was one orthodox Confucian living in the period of transition from feudal society to modern one, which fully embodies the paradox of the transitional period .In spite of the fact that the book was compiled in modern times, YiGai was nothing but one classical literary theoretical text while it arrives at the perfect phase and gains enough progress in the kingdom of the norms of classical literary theory. Studying Liu Xizai and YiGai will provides the opportunity for grasping the clues and hints of the new orientation of classical literary theory during the period of transition. The stylistic thought in YiGai is one important part of the ideology of literary and art of Liu Xizai which should not be neglected. The fact that YiGai stylistic connotation and genre theory demonstrates the different feature from classical Stylistics, and under the supervision of the dialectics makes use of the method of integration generalization with analysis in study shows the direction of classical literary theory to the modern phase during the period of transition.
