In this paper, we will discuss two questions. Firstly, we will introduce the development and application of DIF (Differential Item Functioning) theory. At same time, we also introduce three DIF (Differential Item Functioning) detecting methods, MH Method?SIBTEST Method?Logistic Regression Method. Through comparison of three DIF (Differential Item Functioning) detecting methods, we will find the most appropriate method in our research. Secondly, based on the result we have gained and on the HSK (Elementary & Intermediate) data, we will apply these different methods to detect the items of HSK (Elementary & Intermediate) test paper, to see if there are high DIF items. If there are some, we will try to explain the source which the high DIF comes from. It is expected that what we have done can provide theory and experiment evidence for item database development of HSK (Elementary & Intermediate).
