Between The Prosperous Tang And The Mid-Tang

Gu Kuang was an important poet who was living in Tang Dynasty. His poems were the transitional masterpieces between the Prosperous Tang and the Mid-Tang and could be called the turning point. The number of all his poems is about 239; most of them are valuable for researchers. Therefore, it is necessary to research his poem comprehensively. And because of the special ages, the research attending to the poems of the Prosperous Tang and the Mid-Tang also has got the typical meaning. However, attending to systematic study of Gu's poems did not cause to value enough in the educational circles. Though some papers, Gu Kuang and His Poetry (Gu Yisheng), Gu Kuang's Literature Ideas and Poetry Writing (Wang Qixing), New Criticism on Gu Kuang's Poetry (Deng Hongmei), Wuzhong Poetry School and Mid-Tang Poetry (Zhao Changping), etc. made some researches on Gu's personal experiences and his works from every aspect. However, they laid emphases on different field but not systematically. Owing to all above, this paper tries to attend to the systematic study of Gu's poetry from the foundation of forerunners. First, in researches, this paper tries hard to have a foothold in the text this, and to make standpoint more completely, more objective. Second, this paper holds tight for the transitional spot of poetry styles between the Prosperous Tang and the Mid-Tang and gain accurate cognitions. Furthermore, combining the poet's destiny and his works, this paper work hard for the cause to the style of Gu's poetry and its meaning of literature history. This paper is divided into several chapters as follows: Chapter 1, delineating to attend to the Gu's life track and outstanding his characteristics. Chapter 2, attending to poem contents proceed totally up completely. Chapter 3, confirming the aesthetic characteristic on the basis of Gu's text. Chapter 4, from the some new angles, attending to the cause to the style of Gu's poetry and its existing meanings. In a word, this paper will have more completely, thorough but again the confidence of the system.
