A Study On Taixue Of Han Dynasty

The study on Taixue of Han Dynasty is an important composition of Chinese educational history. This thesis discusses it from the angels of multi-discipline, assimilates the previous research results, and makes up for their disadvantages. The author tries to provide a full account of Taixue of Han Dynasty.This thesis consists of seven chapters. On the basis of the previous research results, the first four chapters analyze the schoolhouse, developing stages, curriculums and management by the method of document studying, history and education.In fifth chapter, by discussing the native place of the teachers and students of Taixue, the author explores the regional culture and regional education at that time. It is the focal point of this thesis. The conclusions are as follow: the culture and education of Han Dynasty take on the regional differences. All In all, the place where the culture atmosphere is strong, people always pay more attention to education. Therefore people of talent come forth in large numbers. The opposite is also true. Prosperous economy, steady politic, superior geographical position and convenient traffic are apt to attract renowned personalities. In detail, the political center has obvious advantage, the development of previous culture centers is still outstanding, and the development of other regions can't be overlooked.Sixth Chapter analyzes the relationship among Taixue, Junguoxue and Sixue. The author thinks that they complement each other. Taixue's appeal, Junguoxue's continuity and Sixue's popularization make Han Dynasty's education prosperous.The last chapter expounds the Taixue's influence on the society of Han dynasty. Taixue emphasize the moral education, which makes the teachers and students have an ideal anticipation to the politics. At the same time, some malpractices turn up. Classics education becomes popular, but rigid learning method narrow way to official post lead to the result that people gain nothing except the white hair, which hurt people's body and mind badly. Taixue education promotes the market and brings along the development of commodity economy to some extent.
