The Dimensional Image

Since the 20th century, the forms and contents of Chinese watercolor art have achieved obvious changes under the new age background, which required us to present the trends of abundant and multiple current art outlooks by languages. The tenet of this dissertation is about exploring the relation between the fascination of watercolor art and the image of esthetics through exerting the expressive force of water. There are four sections in general; the first section focuses on the connotation and functions of the image. Image is the aesthetic theory which infiltrated the aesthetic main body and the image of aesthetic emotion, it's the combination of psychic idea and physical image, and it's an important way for artist to communicate sensations and imply ideas. The second section analyses the inner aesthetics relation between the Occidental watercolor painting and Chinese ink painting, build up the dimensional image through the expressive force of water. Additionally, mentioned the individual distinguish and the common connection between Watercolor painting and Chinese ink painting on the expressive force of water. The dimensional benefit of image is among subject or object, visible or invisible, and exist or non-exist. The third section analyses image dimensional effect which was produced by the Water Implement, and also involved the relations of moisture consciousness; innovation consciousness time consciousness and interspaces consciousness The fourth section mentioned the carrier's requirement of watercolor painting on Water Implement. Generally, the expressive force of water composed the logic relation between watercolor painting and image esthetics, enhanced and enriched the theory extension of watercolor painting.
