The two writers, both writing from the relationship between female and male, promulgated the person's desire which was oppressed by the modern civilization. Watanabe Junichi, discriding at the medical angle, proved the rationality of the person's instinctive desire. Although the two writers were in different regions and at different times, the close social backgrounds and particular attentions make their novels similarities, that is, their novels have similar viewpoints. The fictions of Lawrence and Watanabe Junichi have great similitudes in many aspects, such as the narrative manner, the narrative angle and the expression means.
