As a result of language contact, code-switching has become increasingly important in various academic fields since 1970s. There are four different research methods about code-switching at present: (1) sociolinguistic analysis on code-switching, (2) grammar analysis on code-switching, (3) discourse analysis on code-switching, (4) psycholinguistic analysis on code-switching. But up to now, no solution has been found to interpret the question of code-switching devices and functions. Most research focuses on the use of code-switching in the specific context from the aspect of parole. Code-switching research on the subject of monolinguals has already yielded fruitful results. However, code-switching research on the subject of bilinguals is lagging for behind. If measured by morphological features, Korean, Chinese, and English belong to distinct language groups; Korean is an agglutinative language, Chinese is isolating, and English is inflectional. Therefore, research on the "Korean-Chinese" bilinguals use of code-switching in the process of English writing can enrich our knowledge of the languagesin question, and probe the universality of language.Based upon the research method "think aloud", this paper conducts research on the subject of "Korean-Chinese" bilingual English learners whose Korean proficiency is higher than their Chinese and who belong to different learning stages, in the process of English writing. The paper describes the innate reasons that cause code-switching among three languages. This paper is comprised of five chapters. The first chapter gives a brief survey on the background and the reason for selecting this title, and states the research subject, objective, and the research method. The second chapter gives an overview of some important studies on code-switching and states the possibility and necessity of the study of code-switching in the process of English writing. The third chapter illustrates the relevant studies of English writing, and points out the research content, subject, and instruments, as well as the process and method of data analysis. The fourth chapter conducts an analysis and' induction on the use and features of code-switching both from the process and result of English writing, and analyzes the cause of code-switching. The last chapter summarizes the main content of this paper and raises some questions that deserve further research.
