On The Characters In Family Fictions In 20th Century

This dissertation investigates the characters in family fictions in the Chinese literature of 20th century, selecting some classic family fictions to analyze the fate changes and characteristics of its figures, trying to summary and reveal the cultural connotations of the family fictions in 20th century. The dissertation consists of three chapters with the foreword and the conclusion.Foreword. This section combs out the process of the Chinese family fictions developing in 20th century and its general situation, then demonstrates the inner relations between family fictions and cultural changes of the era. It is another task to summarize the present situation of family fictions and its characters research, to introduce my general view on its characters which will appear in the thesis.Chapter One. "Disappear like a falling flower "------Fathers withauthority gradually declining .In this section, the figure of the father who is the head of the family, will be concluded with the society cultural criticism method, from the angle of social stratum and according to the priority of time .The study is on the base of the close textual analysis of some classic novels such as " Home ", "Four Generation Living in the Same House ", " White Deer Plain "etc. Access to these fictions, the tragedy of the fathers is going to be showed to us.Chapter Two.
