In Heidegger's book of Being and Time, the issue of death has the fundamental and introductory role in answering the problem of "meaning of Being". in Heidegger's opinion, traditional metaphysics has ever mistakenly taken all kinds of Beings as Being, and forgotten Being itself, the crucial reason is that the metaphysics forgot the existence of "human being", which is the Being towards death. It is just because the metaphysics concealed the issue of death that the human being missed the basis while thinking about the question of Being, which caused a series of serious faults with the existence of human being. Heidegger criticized the approach of traditional metaphysics which explored the issue of death on the basis of epistemology, and insisted to focus on the issue of death from the point of the existence of Being which is much more original than human being' s cognition, in this way, we not only could directly understand some subjects in the book of Being and Time, such as time, existence and freedom and so on, but we could get the freedom and meaning of existence by the apperception of human being's death.
