The whole paper can be divided into six major parts. Qi County's geographical situation and dialect's ascription are introduced in the part of Preface. Qi County dialect belongs to the Jin Dialect, and 19 initials, 39 simple or compound vowels, 5 tone types are included in its syllabary. The research actuality and significance about the reduplication patterns of nouns in Qi County dialect are introduced in brief. Chapter I: The reduplication patterns of nouns in Qi County dialect are defined and the types and characteristics are introduced. The definition of reduplication patterns of nouns is mainly based on Zhu Dexi's and Li Rulong's: it means the nouns which are consist of reduplicating the nouns. Qi County's reduplication patterns of nouns are not only abundant in the forms, but also in the numerous quantities, such as the types of AA, AAB, ABB, AABB, ABCC and AXBB and so on. Here the analysis of AA type is emphasized. What make AA Type unique are its four characteristics of pronunciation, word-building, semantic and grammar function, which are different from the mandarin. From the comparison, the characteristics of the reduplication patterns of nouns are distinct. Chapter II: The characteristics of the tails of "zi"and "er"in Qi County dialect are introduced. The similarities and differences of the tails of "zi"and "er"between Qi County dialect and the mandarin are firstly analyzed, which are discussed from four characteristics of pronunciation, word-building, semantic and grammar function. And then the comparison with the reduplication patterns of nouns in Qi County dialect is mainly discussed. Finally the conclusion is drawn that the tails of "zi"and "er"in Qi County dialect are expressed in general, having the same semantic characteristic; while the latter is mostly expressed diminutive or special. Chapter III: The comparison with the dialect in other Jin districts. The reduplication patterns of nouns in Qi County dialect have six types of AA, ABB, BAA, AABB, ABCC and AXBB. Among them, the first three forms are general in Jin districts. But the types of ABB and BAA are relatively abundant in the center districts and the western districts comparing with the southeastern districts, the northern districts and the southern districts. The last two kinds of forms are popular in the northern districts and the southern districts, and relatively rare in the other districts. Chapter IV: The comparison with the Mandarin of Northwest, Southwest and Wu Dialect. The reduplication patterns of nouns in Mandarin of Northwest and Southwest have many kinds of types and are not limited to the kind of AA Type.
