The S entiment E ducation Thought, i nitiated by Feng M englong, a writer of the late Ming Dynasty, is not only the theoretical basis for Feng to work on literary activities but also the indication of the advanced evolution of the sexual affection views at that times. Influenced by ideas of "To the Innate Knowledge"," Childlike Innocence" and the sex-orientedness then, it intends to rectify the moral corruptions and purify the social customs and traditions. Thus, taking the analysis of the Thought as the point of departure , the paper suggests that the thought in question both reveals the elegant ontology of sentiment and its key role in educating the public and uptunes its sincere connotation in content. Besides, it specifies the historical significance of the Thought discussed, regarding it beneficial both in morality and in literature. It also explores the origin and the development of the Thought, concluding that it is both part of Chinese traditional culture and part of Chinese literature concerned. With the objective evaluation of the two sides of the Thought, the paper holds that it is characteristic of the prospection in Thought. Popularity in persuasion and feasibility in eduction on the one hand, and of the limitation in dealing with conflicts between sentiment and reason, love and non-love, etc. In the second part comes the representation of the Thought, the theoretical base and the leading principle of Feng's masterpieces Three Yans, (ie.Jin Shi Tong Yan ,Yu Shi Ming Yan ,and Xing Shi Heng Yan ),which is in genergal embodied in such textual forms as tolic, utterance insertion ,subject matter and plot ,and in particular manifested in thematic ideas.
