| Zhengming Yaolu (《æ£åè¦å½•》) is a copy of document written in Tang Dynasty discovered in the cave of Mogao grottoes at Dunhuang containing Buddhist scriptures. And it is the primary intact work on model of written characters. It is also the research object of the thesis. Guided by the theories of Chinese graphology and Chinese characters' formation, the thesis analyzes and researches the material investigated and surveyed, especially the analysis is focused on the relationship of font in the book the and the orthographic idea.The thesis consists of three parts. First, a brief and general introduction is given on the Zhengming Yaolu (《æ£åè¦å½•》) in the respects of author, title, character and the background of writing. The author of Zhengming Yaolu (《æ£åè¦å½•》) is Lang Zhiben. Influenced by the movement of regular script in Tang Dynasty, he wrote the book after the circulation of Yan Shigu's Zi Yang (ã€Šå—æ ·ã€‹) directing against the phenomenon of incorrect use of characters in the early days of Tang Dynasty. Second ,the thesis analyzed the internal structural system of Zhengming Yaolu (《æ£åè¦å½•》) . According to the headline of the book , Zhengming Yaolu (《æ£åè¦å½•》) is made up of six parts. In the first part , "the characters listed in the initial are correct but are not understood and used gradually; the characters in the footnote are considered and can be in use at any time."; In the second part , "the characters listed in the initial are correct but the characters in the footnote are wrong."; In the third part, "the characters listed in the initial are correct but the characters in the footnote have something wrong slightly."; In the fourth part, "according to the characters in the footnote respectively."; In the fifth part, "the characters popular in the ancient times and having the usage of precedents occupied in the upper place , the characters popular in these days are below."; In the sixth part, "the characters are not synonym but homophone." The preceding five parts are about textual research and discrimination on the character patterns. The last part is about the textual research and discrimination on the words having the same or similar sound which are easy to be confusing.
