This thesis focused on the aestheticism movement, which were emerged in England and France during the interim between 19C to 20C,sketched the internal seek, which were aimed to participate in the social reconstruction, of this movement by combining with the backgrounds of the economy, culture, and religion of that time, aimed to break the localization made by the traditional criticisms just regarding the aestheticism as a formalistic esthetics conception with pure literature, explored some illuminations to nowadays' practices in culture, through the process of reinterpreting this movement with more objectivity.The first part divided the movements into two groups and two groping ways, demonstrated that movements were not an Irish bull, and made an epilogue to show clearly that those presentational contradictions were caused by the different criterions about the value of the art. But they were common in trying hard to set the relation between art and daily life.The second part searched for the motivation, why the movements emphasize the art' self-discipline, by the backgrounds of the new age' repartition and progress, pointed out that choice between the tradition and innovation is just like a evocation ,analyzed the reason why that movement were failed to vie with the culture' spirit in the old times.The third part gave prominence to the religion passion of the aestheticism, analyzed the cause and enumerated the representations, judged the frustrated tendency of those retrogressive viewpoint which attempt to get the aura belong to the traditional art by the worship of the aesthetics, and forecasted the orientation of the modem arts.The forth part of the thesis mainly introduced the aestheticism was affiliated with the whole social transfer at the end of the 19C, showed the inevitable influences to the movement made by the economy market, as this literature movement was the result of the capitalistic era. Summed up the tactics with which those aesthetes to faced the control of the economic system.
