With the rapid economic growth in our country and the quicker pace of the merging with the world, the consciousness of self-direction is more intensified, together with the much more urgent need to understand the inter-relationship between human development and social development. Thus the human development in an all-round way has become a practical issue that must be studied and explored in both theoretical and academic circles. This has some theoretical and practical significances to deepen the understanding of the all-round developing theory of Marxism, safeguard the socialistic modernization and reform and opening-up to proceed smoothly, speed up the pace of the all-round development of human and society, and rise the ideological, ethical, scientific and cultural quality of the entire nation.As a historical issue, the human development in an all-round way has different contents and features in different stages of history. Meanwhile, the human development in an all-round way has inherent quality. In order to solve the problem of the human development in an all-round way in our country at present, we must considerate the important arguments of classic writers of Marxism and the collective crystallization of our leaders of generations. With respect to reality, we must take into consideration the experience of successes and failures in the past domestically and abroad, and the problem whether to comply with the principle of sustainable human development in the future.This thesis consists of three parts.First Part deals with the historical review of the theory's formulation of the human development in an all-round way.
