"The Art Recycling"

The "art-recycling" means the realization of the recycle of resources in the light of art and design. The "art-recycling" is not only a kind of study direction which is in line with the recycling economy, but also provides a brand new angle of view for the design.The theme study of "The art-recycling" is mainly developed in three aspects:Firstly, it will define and explain the meaning of the theme: "The art-recycling" is proposed with the basis on the reflection of the damage to the environment and ecology caused by modern technological civilization, and on the trend of green design. It will change the current situation of the lack of dialogue between the studies of material and design, and develop a kind of unique study on the material's recycle and application in environmental design from the angel of design study. "The art-recycling" in this paper is mainly focused on the environmental design, which is the application of recycled materials in the environmental design.Secondly, it will propose and analyze problems, which is to discuss and analyze the difficulties and opportunities during the development of recycling design in China, and also to compare with related western cases to explore the various possibilities of China's recycling design. Both Chinese and international experiences reveal that limitations arise from social conception, economy and technology restrict the designers, companies, and the public from acknowledging and promoting the mode of recycle via "The art-recycling". In order to overcome these limitations, the industrialization establishment is of the top priority. The industrialization establishment helps to coordinate resources in various levels, fulfill the systemization, and create the optimal environment for the mode of recycle via the design.Thirdly, it will discuss the establishment of a process model and evaluation system of "The art-recycling". Based on above studies, the process model of "The art-recycling", which is established with the basic frame of environmental designing process and the core of recycling, is an attempt of this process systemization. Basedon this model, the author practiced in the environmental design of Shijialu Primary School in Jiashan, Zhejiang, exploring the possibilities of applying waste materials in the practical cases of environmental design and the reasonability of the process model of "The art-recycling". In addition, the establishment of the evaluation system will provides a reasonable judging criterion for the further study and application of "The art-recycling".Based on studies, the author holds the opinions that:? "The art-recycling" is an importation study direction of sustainable design.? "The art-recycling" bears positive significance for the development of recycle industry in China.? China has the unique advantages to promote the mode of recycle via "The art-recycling"? The mode of recycle via "The art-recycling" should be brought into China's existing construction industrialization and be systemized.? To enlarge the effect of the mode of recycle via "The art-recycling" needs the support of the state and social strengths.Finally, the paper also prospects the further study direction of the theme.
