Although competition is very important in prompting the development of productivity, excessive competition will bring negative effect that cannot be ignored to our society. In fact, with the process of globalization and the rapid development of science and technology, cooperation has already become a development trend of contemporary society. The significance of cooperation is becoming more and more prominent. My thesis takes economic cooperation as the research object. The main task of this thesis is to probe into the cooperation ethic contained in the economic cooperation behavior. The thesis is formed by foreword and three parts of contents. In the first part the meaning, characteristic, moral implications of the concept "economic cooperation" have been explained briefly. Furthermore, It discusses the meaning, inevitability, and moral disposition of the economic cooperation emphatically. "Economic cooperation" means that the economic subject proceeds from its own interests, but gives equal attention to both sides' interests in order to realize the goal of resource-sharing, the superiority complementarily, shared risks etc. through cooperation in technology, fund, manpower and information. Economic cooperation is the request of reducing the trade-expenses and realizing large-scale production. It's also the inevitable trend in era of knowledge-driven economy too. The economic cooperation has its ethical dimension, this mainly embodies in: First, It's a mutual-benefit relationship. Secondly, It's a contractual relationship that contains ethical requests. Thirdly, It's the identification with proper competition rules. The second part concentrates on the basic factors for successful practice of cooperation. It mainly contains: coexistence, mutual-benefit, meeting consumer's needs and undertaking the responsibility together."Coexistence" is opposite to the former thought pattern of antagonistic competition. "Mutual-benefit" is not only the ethical spirit of the market economy, but also the main principle to dealing with the cooperator's interests relations. "Meeting consumer's needs " is decided by the characteristic of the buyer's market and the goal of socialism production. "Undertaking the responsibility together" requests all participants to undertake the economical responsibility, legal liability, moral responsibility together. The third part discusses the ethical condition of realizing the long-term economic cooperation. Looking from the micro aspect, it depends on the cooperation spirits of the cooperation subject, such as sincerity, respecting work etc. Sincerity is not only the need of sound development of the market economy, but also the moral guarantee of the cooperation income. "Respecting work" mainly refers to the understanding of enterprise to its status in the national economic system and the consciousness of enterprise with its responsibility to developing social productivity, meeting people's material and culture needs etc. From the macroscopic aspect, it needs the support of social system based on the principle of justice for a good external environment condition.
