Studying On Cultural Construction And Reform Of CPC In The Early Days Of Foundation

The early days of foundation are an important historical stage in the history of social development of China, the Chinese society changes from the new democracy society into the socialist society. At this stage, the Communist Party of China transformed the old social ideology through cultural construction and reform. Marxism was clearly established as the guideline of cultural field and Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought became the major ideology of the whole country; some other enterprises were also improved to a great extent, such as cultural and educational undertakings, etc. Though some negative influence has appeared in practice, this is the effort to promote the development of culture made by Communist Party of China in early years of the administration after all. Studying the reason why cultural construction and reform happened in the early days of foundation, hackling the development and policy of the movement systematically, and reviewing history in term of summarizing experience, have important academic value and practical meaning.Main content of this text: In the first part, having analyzed the reason of cultural construction and reform in early days of foundation, the author considers that it is the result of the" join forces " which each element in the society affected each other at that time. This part mainly includes the basic demand of politics and economy changed in early days of foundation; inherent requirement for cultural development; cultural demand of the legitimacy of being in power of the Party. In the second part, mainly expounds the policy of guiding the cultural construction and reform. This part mainly includes insisting the direction that serve the people and the socialist cause ,and the policy of making the past serve the present, making foreign things serve China, weeding out the old and bringing forth the new; advocating the policy that" let hundreds of flowers blossom and hundreds of schools' thought contend". In the third part, explains the action that the Party leads the cultural construction and reform emphatically. Firstly, launch the study of Marxism-Leninism and Mao Zedong Thought; secondly, reform and develop cultural and educational undertakings; thirdly, launch the intellectual's thought reform and culture critique. The fourth part is the historical reflection of the whole practical activities. It mainly includes the Party's leadership on ideology, a correct attitude adopted towards the problem of the intellectuals and the law of the cultural construction grasped scientifically.
