The Content And Characters Of Han Yu's Prose

The highest peak of Chinese feudal society is Tang Dynasty. But from the"Rebellion of An Lushan and Shi Siming",it had to fall. Learned persons belonged to the middle and small landlord class began to show in the stage of politics. Facing the disordered empire, some of them tried to make it longer. They wished that Tang Dynasty would have resuscitated. Han Yu was one representative of them. He thought he was the successor of the Confucian school, and opposed to the Buddhism and Taoism. He was also the leader of the"Ancient Writing Movement",and disliked dispirited writing style .He himself wrote a lot of masterpieces. He divided people into three kinds"The uppers'moral character is the best , the people who is in the middle can go up or fall down ,the lower can't be saved". It means the emperor should be in charge of his people. And his people should obey the emperor's orders , even they are rude and cruel . His doctrine was welcomed by the rulers and he became very famous in the History of Chinese ancient philosophy . He was an outstanding poet too. He pursuited the imposed poem style .Meng Jiao and he led a new tributary which is called"Han and Meng Sect"……According to these ,some people believe that he is an awful man, the others think he is one of the most excellent persons in the History of Chinese ancient Culture .From his age there were many people studied him .Because of one's writing style can respect himself , his proses were the focus observed by the scholars and experts. The proses of Han Yu can classified into the essay ,the inscription ,the elegiac address ,etc. Most of the scholars always study one kind of them to find the implied intention . In recent years, the research of the inscription and the elegiac address have improved. And some classic achievement has emerged. But in the contrast, The research of Zeng Xu is not enough . It is not as good as other kinds of Han Yu .My article makes Han Yu's Zeng xu as the basement . I collected, arrange , analysis many masterpieces and combined the Middle Tang Dynasty social background , the life of Han Yu , the opinions of Han Yu and his literature theory ,to classify and analyze his Zeng Xu objective , to make the study of Han Yu further .
