The source is an ancient belief. It's on the base of the thought that two poles exist together. The work "Somersault Without Moving Forward" expresses kensaburo Oe's view to the religion phenomenon in modern society. It points out the reason why so many people are keen on the new and developing religions. It also gives a brief account of the current religion situation in Japan and explores a spirit-salvation road successfully. It not only calls people to strengthen the crisis consciousness, but also expresses clear and definite hope to the people of a new type.
